What diet would be good for getting in shape to play tennis?
I have wanted to start playing tennis for quite some time now, what food should I start eating to make sure I get healthy and in shape?

Missy I wish it were that simple to get into shape and get healthy just by eating a specific food but it’s not. First off you need to get exercising which is playing alot of tennis. On off days do some jogging and some wind sprints. Skipping rope is awesome too. The night before matches players usually carb up or eat pasta to give them energy throughout the match. Morning is a good time for fresh fruits. During the match if you feel faint or the tank running down have a banana. Gatorade is good if you are running and perspiring a lot. Otherwise just drink plenty of water before during and after the match. Nothing beats H2O. Stay away from fast food, and junk food. sugars, and empty calories. Protein is good for building muscle. And eat your vegetables – preferably greens. Too much pasta or bread will pack on the pounds so only carb up the night before big matches or big practises.
Eat a lot of fruit, and don’t eat junk food, Also eat food with carbohydrates like pasta, and bread.
As mentioned above, foods with lots of carbohydrates are ideal. In addition make sure you get your daily serving of vegetables, fruits, and proteins. However, a diet should not be a huge concern. As long as you don’t starve or stuff yourself, any diet will do. But remember, when you hit the courts, remember to keep hydrated!
